More Mega Mergers
When Molson and Coors brewing companies joined forces, the world’s fifth top brewing firm was born. With separate histories of questionable and downright discriminatory marketing and business practices, this merged U.S.-Canadian beer corporation is now poised to peddle its beers in more than 30 markets throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. With its expanding global reach, and its bottling, canning and transportation holdings, Molson Coors has built the “operational scale and financial resources to become a consolidator in the global brewing industry.” What remains to be seen is whether Molson Coors will be a good corporate citizen, or continue to engage in the maligned business practices it employed before the merger.
