Jose Guevara-Johnson

JoseGuevaraJohnsonA major in Political Science and minor in Women Gender and Sexuality from California State University, Los Angeles. Jose is the first DACAmented student to be hired by the University to help other students as a peer mentor advisor in the Erika J. Glazer Family Dreamers Resource Center. He was an intern for the California Faculty Association fighting for more funding for students both at CSULA and the capital. He’s a volunteer with Cancer 4 college and the American Cancer Association. Lastly, he was an intern for Nanci Pelosi Office in 2019 thanks to The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. Now Jose works as a community organizer with The Wall Las Memorias Project.
