Powdered Alcohol Bans Introduced in CA

Alcohol Justice is pleased to report the introduction of two bills to ban powdered alcohol in California. Assembly Bill 1554 (Irwin) and Senate Bill 819 (Huff) will create a powerful barrier to a chilling litany of health and safety concerns associated with powered or crystalline alcohol.

New UK Alcohol Guidelines

The United Kingdom Department of Health released new alcohol consumption guidelines effective January 8, 2016. The new guidelines were constructed with a clearer understanding of the links between alcohol and its health risks, and conclude that there is no justification for recommending drinking on health grounds.

New BuzzBallz Brand Targeting Youth

Bright colors, many flavors, and high alcohol by volume: Buzzballz is definitely not aiming at Baby Boomers with its new brand extension. Its slogan is "Ready to Shoot," and Shooterz certainly is. It comes in a 750 ml container of premixed cocktails with 30% ABV and a shot glass attached to the bottle. That's an additional 10-15% ABV than the original Buzzballz circa 2010.
