Alcohol Justice monitors all federal legislation and agency regulation of the listed issue areas and advocates for evidence-backed policies that will reduce alcohol-related harm.

The federal government is limited in its ability to regulate the production, distribution, importation, advertising, and sales of alcoholic products. Its responsibility covers labeling, excise taxes, the safety of additives, and the potential for home delivery via the USPS.

Tell Capitol Hill: THANK YOU For Protecting Community Health, Now and In the Future

Late on Tuesday, January 13th, the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration abruptly canceled $2 billion in behavioral health grants to community health organizations, of all kinds, from all across the country. 

Late on Wednesday, January 14th, SAMHSA rescinded those cuts.
